
Possibilities for the Dutch 450 MHz PAMR spectrum in relation to continuity of smart meters

In 2020 Dialogic finished a study on how the operation of smart electricity meters can be guaranteed after November 17, 2024. On that date, the current permit for the use of the Dutch 450-470 MHz PAMR band (Public Access Mobile Radio) will expire. This spectrum is used to provide the smart meters with a wireless connection, allowing the readings of the electricity meter to be read remotely.
